MY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

I received my Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2003 and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon since 2009. I have worked as a mental health therapist in different settings since 2001. Prior to joining Brave Acorn I practiced in community mental health, a primary care medical setting and programs that provide services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

In therapy my goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental environment that allows my clients the opportunity to express themselves, feel understood, and develop and enhance the skills to bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to be on their life journey. I believe that you are the expert on you and I have a set of skills that may be helpful in sorting out concerns or challenges you may be facing. I will tailor therapy specifically to you and we will work together to find the best approach for you.
